Kids cool off with all-out water war

The gloves were off and the water guns were loaded at the Karratha Leisureplex last Wednesday.

Around 30 lucky children enjoyed four hours worth of fun water sports at the “water wars” activity session, part of a packed school holiday program at the Leisureplex.

They took part in a sponge relay, all-out water war with squirt guns, and, of course, a good old-fashioned water balloon fight.

It was the perfect way to cool off on a particularly scorching hot day.

The facilitators gave as good as the children, and kept participants on their toes with surprise water balloon ambushes throughout the afternoon.

But the youngsters had strength in numbers and didn’t hesitate to strike back.

Ben Game, 8, Braydon Schultz, 9, and Oscar Knowler, 9.

Leiani Fenner, 7.

Locky Moody, 11, Zac Norman, 11, and Chloe Norman, 6.
