Become a lifeguard

Pilbara News - - Lifestyle -

Keen Karratha swimmers have the opportunity to qualify as lifeguards this summer.

A Pool Lifeguard certificate is needed to be a lifeguard in WA, and this is a chance to achieve one.

In March, Royal Lifesaving WA will hold pool lifeguard and pool lifeguard re-qualification courses at the Karratha Leisureplex.

These courses are recognised throughout Australia and focus on providing entry-level qualifications that can lead to a rewarding career.

The industry requirement for employment as a pool lifeguard in a public swimming pool is a pool lifeguard certificate and a senior first aid certificate.

Dates for the courses are set for March 12 and 13.

To enrol and for more information on the courses, visit www.lifesavingwa.com.au/ training/course/?id=6, or contact the Karratha Leisureplex team on 9186 8556 or email leisureplex@ karratha.wa.gov.au.
