Groups urged to apply for funds
Not-for-profit organisations and councils are being urged to apply for the latest round of the National Stronger Regions Fund. Funding for between $20,000 and $10 million for capital infrastructure projects is available under the scheme. Durack MP Melissa Price said the NSRF strengthened communities through job creation and economic growth. “This is a wonderful opportunity to grow your town,” she said. “I also encourage you to seek the support of your local Regional Development Australia office.” Ms Price said applicants in remote areas only had to contribute $1 for every $3 applied for under the NSRF. Submissions for the latest round of funding close on March 15.
