No place here for irresponsible acts

Pilbara News - - Opinion -

Sadly, our K-town has gone to rack and ruin.

There is an undesirable culture of irresponsibility emptying its vile, putrid behaviour among us.

I speak of those in the community who do not return shopping trolleys to the appointed areas and or fill them with their rubbish and leave them in parking bays for others to deal with.

Then there are the halfwits who accelerate into the shopping centre carpark without a thought of pedestrians, particularly mothers pushing a trolley to their car with children following behind.

How would you irresponsible, self-indulged misfits feel if you killed someone in your car, by hitting a young child or their parent?

Also, there are motorists on our roads who think that they are the only driver on that particular section of the road, travelling in the right lane in the blind spot of the vehicle in the left lane.

Karratha has some of the worst drivers in regional Australia.

Motorcyclists, in particular, in addition to Formula 1 wannabe car drivers speeding past traffic as if trying to win a Grand Prix, exuding excessive exhaust noise, louder than a prime mover slowing with the J-brake employed.

Unregistered motorcycles are gracing our residential streets with no lights on performing wheel stands with no responsibility for their actions or thoughtfulness for the families in that street.

Unfortunately, we have a transient community where some of you out there have no respect for the majority of residents.

Please curb your pathetic antisocial, misguided behaviour and slither back under the rock you came from and never admit to anyone that you graced K-town.

This community will not miss your presence in the least.

In fact, you would make Karratha a better town to reside in without your pathetic behaviour. Michael McDonald Karratha
