The call has gone out for locals with people skills to sign up to help the Australian Bureau of Statistics manage census operations across the State.

Up to 253 area supervisors are needed for the 2016 Census of Population and Housing, to take place on August 9 this year.

They will also quality check delivery and collection activities, protect data security and ensure the health and safety of their teams.”

Supervisors would earn close to $35 an hour, working flexible hours for up to five months.
