Peaches and cream

Di­vine and daz­zling are only two ways to de­scribe this sat­is­fy­ing fi­nale to any meal.

Prepa­ra­tion: 10 min­utes Cook­ing: 5 min­utes Serves: 8 In­gre­di­ents 1kg sliced peeled peaches 2 tbsp kirsch or peach liqueur 200ml re­duced-fat sour cream ½ tsp ground cin­na­mon ¼ tsp ground nut­meg ½ cup light brown sugar

Method Toss peaches in liqueur in shal­low oven­proof 28 x 14cm glass bak­ing dish. Spread into even layer. Com­bine sour cream, cin­na­mon and nut­meg in small bowl. Mix well. Spoon mix­ture evenly over peaches. This may be cov­ered and re­frig­er­ated up to 2 hours be­fore cook­ing. Pre­heat grill. Sprin­kle brown sugar evenly over sour cream mix­ture to cover. Grill 10cm from heat for 3 to 5 min­utes or un­til brown sugar has melted and is bub­bly. Watch closely af­ter 3 min­utes so that sugar does not burn. Serve over slices of sponge, but­ter cake or crepes.
