Census search for unique roles

The Aus­tralian Bureau of Sta­tis­tics is look­ing for 24 peo­ple to ful­fil its most unique roles in the 2016 Census work­force.

Up to six re­mote area mo­bile team lead­ers and 18 mem­bers will travel WA’s most re­mote re­gions to re­cruit, train and man­age up to four lo­cally based field staff to make sure ev­ery­one com­pletes a Census form cor­rectly.

RAMT mem­bers will visit a num­ber of re­mote Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ties across WA, as well as pas­toral sta­tions, min­ing camps, road­houses and na­tional parks.

Ap­pli­cants must have good knowl­edge and un­der­stand­ing of Abo­rig­i­nal/Tor­res Strait Is­lan­der com­mu­nity pro­to­cols and demon­strated cul­tural aware­ness.
