The State Government is confident of finding a solution to keep the Woodie Woodie agricultural trial site operational after the mine closed this year.

The site had been using dewa- tering from Consolidated Minerals’ manganese mine near Nullagine to grow fodder as part of the Pilbara Hinterland Agricultural Development Initiative.

Agriculture Minister Ken Baston said it was important to keep the site operational to find out the final results of the trial.

“It’s very important we keep that going and work out a way of getting the water there,” he said.

Another PHADI site at Wallal Downs has generated 250kg of feed per hectare a day.
