Dampier will be hosting this year’s National Youth Week celebrations with ‘Sparkfest’.

‘Sparkfest’ will be a free event held on April 8 at Hampton Oval for people aged 11 and up.

There will be live music and performers, a photo booth, foam pit and carnival amusements.

Auditions will also be held to give one talented young person the chance to perform onstage alongside a celebrity guest and international DJ.

From March 21-24 between 3pm and 5.30pm all types of performers between the ages of 11 and 25 are invited to audition at the Karratha Youth shed or at The Base Wickham.

City of Karratha Mayor Peter Long said the two special guests will be revealed shortly.

“The identity of our special guests will be released very soon, but in the meantime I can tell you we are very excited to welcome them to the city,” he said.

For information contact Elyce Hurden on 9186 8687 or elyce.hurden@karratha.wa.gov.au.
