Teal tea to raise funds
The Welcome Lotteries house function room was decorated with teal for an ovarian cancer fundraising afternoon tea on March 17.
Hosted by the Pilbara News’ very own Jade Falconer, Carrie Gane, and Kay McLaglen, the “Afternoon Teal” saw men and women from around Karratha come together to chat about their own experiences with ovarian cancer.
Adrian Catler spoke to the group about his wife’s battle with the disease which commonly goes undetected or mistaken for cervical cancer.
The girls have raised more than $700 for Ovarian Cancer Australia.
Funds will go towards raising awareness, supporting those affected and research.
