It’s back-to-back com­edy and drama at Moonrise Cinema this Fri­day and Satur­day night at 7pm.

Pack a pic­nic and a rug and spread out un­der the stars for Joy and The Lady in the Van.

Joy is a story of a fam­ily across four gen­er­a­tions, cen­tred on a woman (Jen­nifer Lawrence) who founds a busi­ness dy­nasty and be­comes a ma­tri­arch through a house­hold in­ven­tion.

Fac­ing be­trayal, treach­ery, the loss of in­no­cence and the scars of love, Joy be­comes a true leader of fam­ily and en­ter­prise.

Al­lies be­come ad­ver­saries and ad­ver­saries be­come al­lies as Joy’s in­ner life and fierce imag­i­na­tion carry her through the storm.

The Lady in the Van is set in 1973 Lon­don, when play­wright Alan Ben­nett (Alex Jen­nings) de­vel­ops an un­likely friend­ship with Miss Shep­herd (Mag­gie Smith), a home­less woman who lives in a van in his drive­way for the next 15 years.
