Actor at youth event
Home and Away actor Nic Westaway is scheduled to appear at Dampier Youth Week event Sparkfest this Friday.
The talented actor will be travelling from the Eastern States to dust off his guitar for a rare musical performance.
“I’m excited, but feeling nervous about getting up there and playing a few tunes,” he said.
Westaway said he enjoyed supporting youth week events and loved to see a community celebrate young people.
Having grown up in Margaret River, he is excited to be performing in his home State and hopes to squeeze in a trip to his hometown before heading back to Sydney.
“I’m looking forward to being back in my home State,” he said. “I don’t get back to the South West as much as I would like to.”
Sparkfest is a free event for young people aged 11 to 25, from 6pm at Hampton Oval.
The youth festival also includes an appearance from DJ Antikz as well as local performances, a foam pit, photo booth and carnival amusements.
