Rough terrain causes car to roll over, elderly woman hurt
An elderly woman was injured in a vehicle rollover in Millstream Chichester National Park.
The woman and her husband were driving on Roebourne Wittenoom Road near the Python Pool turn-off in the afternoon of Friday, April 15, when they turned a corner and hit an outwash plain and bumpy terrain.
Their Toyota LandCruiser rolled several times before coming to a stop. Roebourne police were called to the crash and an ambulance took the female passenger, who suffered a head laceration, to Nickol Bay Hospital in Karratha. She has since been discharged from hospital.
Police have determined the incident was caused by rough terrain.
