Pilbara News - - Pilbara Sport - Louise Allingham

Registrations are now open for the Burrup Mountain Bike Club’s Dr Baynton 6 Hour Remedy race.

The six-hour race will start at 3pm at the Karratha BMX track on June 18 and is open to riders over the age of 12.

The object of the race is to ride as many laps of the course in the allocated six-hour time slot as possible.

Riders can enter into one of four categories to participate individually, in a duo or as a team.

Teams are encouraged to have a team name and come up with a theme or costume. There will be a prize for the best-dressed team.

The event will conclude with presentations and a post-race wind down around a bonfire with food and drinks available.

A Giant mountain bike has been donated to the club which they will raffle off at the wind down.

Raffle tickets are available upon online registration or through the Burrup MTB club. Help sell tickets by collecting a raffle book at the Burrup MTB club’s next race.

Registrations close on June 12 and costs $30 with an additional $25 for a day licence for non-MTBA members. To register, head to burrupmtb.com.
