There was a lot of positivity after the announcement shops would open in the Karratha Quarter from the end of this month.

It would be amazing to hear some positive comments away from the naysayers! There are more local people trying to bring even more of an experience to Karratha, support them! Bart Parsons

It's great to have a new modern space available for new businesses, enticing new people to town, offering modern premises for existing businesses to relocate and the potential for more local jobs! All of the above supports growth within the community, better opportunities and more options for locals! Greer Johnson

I love it and I can't wait for the shops in it to open up. Casey Pearce

The news Pilbara sports clubs missed out on government funding because none applied for it prompted some to note the dates for next round.

Be nice if they advertised it a bit more lol pretty sure if our League knew about this they would have applied too not just the 4 clubs! Keep eyes peeled 1st July apparently. Musha Taylor

Looks like we missed out! Lee Lockyer

Readers were quick to congratulate former St Luke’s College student Treya Long, who has been invited to speak at the prestigious European Congress of Sports Science in Vienna.

Congrats Treya Long, you're definitely going places. Bek Borlase
