The Business and Community Directory for 2016-2017 will be landing on the doorsteps of City of Karratha residents in the coming weeks.

Karratha and Districts Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive and City of Karratha Deputy Mayor John Lally said the directory was like a “little bible for the community”.

“It’s a directory of all the local businesses, but it’s not only local businesses it’s got community groups,” he said.

City of Karratha chief executive Chris Adams launched the directory last Wednesday at KDCCI’s Business After Hours event.

“We are very pleased to support the 2016-2017 directory, it is a beneficial resource for our local business and residential communities,” Mr Adams said.

Local and visiting photographers were given the opportunity to get their Pilbara snaps on the front cover of the directory by entering the Karratha Visitor Centre’s “Visit Karratha” competition.

Karratha Visitor Centre manager Jane Knapp said it was impossible to choose one winner.

“We got over I think it was 150 entries so there ended up being 16 winners,” she said.

“We couldn’t get it down and they all captured the Pilbara and why everyone loves it so much so it was very hard to make a choice.”
