CAROL MARTIN LABOR
My working life has been dedicated to advocating for people in regional WA. I’m currently a consultant, artist and social worker. I was elected to the Shire for Derby for one term, not contesting my seat on council, I moved to Broome for a couple before being elected as the Labor Member for Kimberley in the WA Parliament — the first Aboriginal woman to be elected to any Australian State or Territory Parliament. I have lived all my adult life in the Durack electorate, and have always worked hard for the people of Durack. I know how important health is. I also worked on upgrading critical infrastructure.
