Wickham Wolves Junior Football Club players and coaches travelled inland to Pannawonica last month to run a series of Auskick drills, fun and games.

Pannawonica Junior Sports Committee president Anna McCabe said the weekend made a noticeable difference to both players’ and volunteers’ skill levels.

“We don’t actually have a football club here in Pannawonica, so we’re relying on volunteers to teach kids,” she said.

“The Wickham guys really showed us how to do things in a much easier and more logical manner.

“The kids were able to actually able to have a game against Wickham which is one of the big challenges here in Panna.”

Mrs McCabe said the committee would look to have Wickham come out more often, based on the success of this first trip.
