En­vi­ron­men­tal grant opens

A $4 mil­lion grant pool for vi­tal en­vi­ron­men­tal projects has been opened for groups like schools, not-for-profit or­gan­i­sa­tions, lo­cal gov­ern­ment and en­vi­ron­men­tal ac­tion groups.

Agri­cul­ture and Food Min­is­ter Dean Nalder said groups could ap­ply for be­tween $5000 and $55,000 fund­ing through the Nat­u­ral Re­source Man­age­ment grants pro­gram for the 201617 Com­mu­nity Ac­tion Grants.

In ad­di­tion, $100,000 is avail­able in the 2016-17 Com­mu­nity Ca­pa­bil­ity Grant round for small projects be­tween $1000 and $10,000 which can be im­ple­mented over the next 12 months. Mr Nalder said more than 200 groups and or­gan­i­sa­tions through­out WA had al­ready achieved re­sults through the pro­gram.
