First title for team
The Tom Price Senior High School men’s basketball team were the proud winners of their first premiership at State school sports event WA Country Week last month.
The team took out the division E category with strong defensive play and was the school’s only overall winning side in this year of the competition.
They recorded four wins and two losses by only a handful of points to get to the final, before ultimately defeating Collie by one point after their opponents failed to tie from free throws just before the siren. Team coach Troy Bloxsidge said he was proud of their effort.
“I’m very happy with how they all performed. They really came together well and played together as a team, and supported each other well both on and off the court,” he said.
