Top town the toast of tourism — again

Ex­mouth has won the GWN7 Top Tourism Town award in its cat­e­gory of pop­u­la­tion be­low 5000 for the sec­ond time in three years.

Ex­mouth Vis­i­tor Cen­tre gen­eral man­ager Kristy Bryan-Smith said the win high­lighted the ex­tra­or­di­nary hol­i­day ex­pe­ri­ences and high level of ser­vice vis­i­tors to Ex­mouth and the Nin­ga­loo re­gion could ex­pect.

“Our en­tire team here at the Ex­mouth Vis­i­tor Cen­tre is ex­tremely hon­oured to have re­ceived this prestigious award, which re­flects the five-star cus­tomer ser­vice our cen­tre pro­vides for vis­i­tors to the Nin­ga­loo re­gion,” she said.

“Ex­mouth and the Nin­ga­loo re­gion is one of this coun­try’s pre­miere eco-ad­ven­ture des­ti­na­tions, of­fer­ing vis­i­tors a di­verse range of truly un­for­get­table ex­pe­ri­ences on land, air and sea.

“In achiev­ing this award for the sec­ond time in three years, the Ex­mouth Vis­i­tor Cen­tre is proud to be able to draw recog­ni­tion of this fact.”

Shire of Ex­mouth pres­i­dent Turk Shales said he was proud the Shire’s con­tri­bu­tion to tourism was recog­nised.

“The Shire of Ex­mouth not only pro­vides strong sup­port for the Ex­mouth Vis­i­tor Cen­tre but we en­sure our town presents it­self well and we are con­tin­u­ally work­ing to im­prove tourism in­fras­truc­ture,” he said.

“The Ex­mouth tourism ex­pe­ri­ence will be fur­ther en­hanced with the open­ing of the Nin­ga­loo Cen­tre in April next year.”

Mr Shales said the whole town de­served to be con­grat­u­lated for play­ing a part in mak­ing Ex­mouth the place it is.
