Top town the toast of tourism — again
Exmouth has won the GWN7 Top Tourism Town award in its category of population below 5000 for the second time in three years.
Exmouth Visitor Centre general manager Kristy Bryan-Smith said the win highlighted the extraordinary holiday experiences and high level of service visitors to Exmouth and the Ningaloo region could expect.
“Our entire team here at the Exmouth Visitor Centre is extremely honoured to have received this prestigious award, which reflects the five-star customer service our centre provides for visitors to the Ningaloo region,” she said.
“Exmouth and the Ningaloo region is one of this country’s premiere eco-adventure destinations, offering visitors a diverse range of truly unforgettable experiences on land, air and sea.
“In achieving this award for the second time in three years, the Exmouth Visitor Centre is proud to be able to draw recognition of this fact.”
Shire of Exmouth president Turk Shales said he was proud the Shire’s contribution to tourism was recognised.
“The Shire of Exmouth not only provides strong support for the Exmouth Visitor Centre but we ensure our town presents itself well and we are continually working to improve tourism infrastructure,” he said.
“The Exmouth tourism experience will be further enhanced with the opening of the Ningaloo Centre in April next year.”
Mr Shales said the whole town deserved to be congratulated for playing a part in making Exmouth the place it is.
