Man, 20, on more child sex charges via internet
A 20-year-old Pilbara man who allegedly posed as a female on social media to procure sexually explicit images from young boys appeared in court last week on a string of child sex charges.
Daniel Outram appeared in Karratha Magistrate’s Court via video link from Roebourne Regional Prison, where he has been remanded in custody.
Magistrate Robert Young told the court a further 31 charges had been laid against Mr Outram that morning, including 22 counts of using a carriage service for child pornography material and three counts of using an optical surveillance device to record or observe a private activity.
Other charges he faces include possessing and distributing child exploitation material, intending to expose a person under 16 years to indecent matter and using a carriage service to procure a person under 16 to engage in sexual activity.
Police allege Mr Outram committed the offences over a threeyear period from 2013 until his arrest in April this year.
Police prosecutor Sergeant John Hart said detectives were further investigating alleged evidence.
Magistrate Young adjourned the case until August 30.
