Whim Creek Hotel is hosting two nights of eerie entertainment for its Murder Mystery Weekend.

From Friday, September 9 to Sunday, September 11, patrons will become characters as they try to solve a mysterious murder.

Whim Creek Hotel general manager Bob Bongiorno hosted numerous murder mystery nights while living down in Yanchep and said every one of them had been a huge success.

“It’s one of the most fun things you’ll ever do,” he said.

“It’s a chance for people to escape for a weekend from the everyday.”

The fun starts on Friday night when guests arrive.

They will be presented with a package that will have all the details about the character they will be playing for the weekend.

Guests will take on the roles of the rich and famous, playing characters ranging from an ex-model and a millionaire playboy to a horse trainer and a tennis coach.

“People lose all their inhibitions when they become another character and get away with things they normally wouldn’t,” Mr Bongiorno said.

During Friday night’s cocktail party, a murder will take place and participants will have to solve the mystery during the night and the following day.

There will be food, drinks and activities throughout the weekend.

Mr Bongiorno said participants formed very close bonds throughout the weekend.

It costs $225 per person to participate, including accommodation and all meals.
