Cy­ber safety is fo­cus of ses­sions

From Septem­ber 5-9, li­braries in the City of Kar­ratha will cel­e­brate eS­mart Week with a range of in­ter­net ac­tiv­i­ties and dis­cus­sions around on­line safety.

Safety ses­sions will be held for var­i­ous age groups in­clud­ing Se­niors, teenagers, pri­mary school stu­dents and par­ents. Plus each day af­ter school li­braries will be run­ning a colour­ing com­pe­ti­tion fea­tur­ing Cy­ber Safe Sam with winners an­nounced on Fri­day, Septem­ber 9.

The City of Kar­ratha li­braries are the first re­gional li­brary ser­vice within the State to be­come eS­mart and join with 121 li­braries across Aus­tralia in pro­mot­ing smart, safe and re­spon­si­ble on­line be­hav­iour, dig­i­tal in­clu­sion and well­be­ing. A plaque ac­knowl­edg­ing this achieve­ment will be pre­sented by Tel­stra area gen­eral man­ager Boyd Brown on Tues­day, Septem­ber 6 at 11.30am, Kar­ratha Li­brary.
