Roads get funding
More than $1 million has been awarded to the City of Karratha to assist in local road construction and maintenance.
The Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery program has provided $1.37 million to the City, and a further $336,787 to the Shire of East Pilbara for Pilbara roads.
Infrastructure and Transport Minister Darren Chester said the program delivered funding where it was needed based on local knowledge.
Durack MHR Melissa Price said councils in the electorate of Durack had received more than $7 million in Roads to Recovery payments.
Ms Price said more than 53,500 road projects had been funded across the country through the program to date.
