Runner’s quest to improve mental health
A Karratha man is on a mission to raise money and awareness for better mental health care, by running a half-marathon for each day of this month.
Avid runner Blake Reardon, who is fundraising for Australian mental health and suicide prevention charity LIVIN, said he was motivated to take on gruelling 21.1km daily challenge after losing a friend to suicide a year ago.
So far Mr Reardon said he was holding up well, with recovery from back-to-back runs the main struggle, and he hopes to run in Karratha, Dampier, Wickham and Port Hedland this month to spread the word.
