Liquor laws re­laxed for tours

Tourism busi­nesses will be able to in­clude al­co­hol as part of their tours with­out a liquor li­cence un­der ex­emp­tions to liquor li­cens­ing which came into ef­fect last week.

The al­co­hol must be in­cluded in the tour price and is lim­ited to five drinks a per­son, per day.

Ac­com­mo­da­tion and other tourism premises also have their ex­emp­tion al­lowance in­creased from two to five drinks from to­day.

Tourism Coun­cil WA chief ex­ec­u­tive Evan Hall said more re­form was needed to make the State’s liquor reg­u­la­tions more cus­tomer friendly.
