Snakebites put girl, 10, and man in hospital
Two people were rushed to hospital after they were bitten by snakes in separate incidents in the Pilbara
A 10-year-old girl was bitten about 2.30pm last Wednesday in Ningaloo.
She was taken to Ningaloo Station, a sheep station 40km north of Coral Bay.
Paramedics met her homestead and took Exmouth Airport.
She was then transferred onto a Royal Flying Doctor Service flight to Port Hedland.
The girl remained at Hedland Health Campus overnight.
She was reported to be in a stable condition.
Two hours later, a man in his 60s was bitten by a snake in Deep Gorge on the Burrup Peninsula, near Karratha.
The man was rushed to Nickol Bay Hospital under priority conditions , in a stable condition.
The species of the snakes is unknown.
