A Karratha woman has won a latest-model camper trailer in the WA Police Legacy Bike Marathon raffle.

Baynton West resident Alexa Naprasnik was drawn as the first prize winner of the police charity raffle last week, taking home an $18,500 2016 model Albany SE Camper supplied by the event’s major sponsor, PMX Campers.

Ms Naprasnik said she bought the ticket from a coworker at the airport and was planning to use her first camper trailer to explore more of the North West with her partner, starting with one of the Kimberley’s most well-known tracks.

“We’re going to do the Gibb River Road next year, and in fact we were looking for a camper trailer for that reason,” she said.

“(This) will help us make the trip in comfort.”

The second prize of $1000 cash was also won by a Karratha resident.

Karratha police Senior Constable and raffle organiser Kelsie Green said the station was always glad to see locals among the main prize winners.

She said this year’s raffle had been a big success.
