Three men in court on child sex charges
Three Roebourne men charged with child sex offences after local police investigations appeared before Karratha Magistrate’s Court last week.
West Pilbara Detectives and Roebourne police laid the charges two weeks ago and allege the men were involved in various inappropriate behaviour with young girls generally aged between 13 and 16.
The cases are all unrelated.
Barry Pat, 52, appeared via video link from Roebourne Regional Prison on Tuesday, September 13 charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 and under 16 and one count of indecently dealing with a child over 13 and under 16.
Mr Pat’s defence lawyer Shaban Azad said at this stage his client intended to plead not guilty to all three charges.
Rodney Lockyer, 45, appeared on charges of indecently dealing with a child over 13 and under 16, offering a prohibited drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kim Williams, 39, appeared in court on Wednesday charged with indecently dealing with a child over 13 and under 16.
Mr Lockyer will next appear in court in October for legal advice.
Mr Pat and Mr Williams are set to reappear in December.
