The BFG plays this Fri­day night at Moonrise Cin­ema.

Pack a pic­nic and a rug and en­joy a night out un­der the stars in front of the big screen.

Ten-year-old So­phie is in for the ad­ven­ture of a life­time when she meets the Big Friendly Gi­ant (Mark Ry­lance).

Nat­u­rally scared at first, the young girl soon re­alises the 24-foot be­he­moth is ac­tu­ally quite gen­tle and charm­ing.

As their friend­ship grows, So­phie’s pres­ence at­tracts the un­wanted at­ten­tion of Blood­bot­tler, Flesh­lum­peater and other gi­ants. Af­ter trav­el­ling to Lon­don, So­phie and the BFG must con­vince Queen Vic­to­ria to help them get rid of all the bad gi­ants once and for all.

They will also be avail­able at the gate on the night should if not sold out be­fore­hand.

Moonrise Cin­ema is lo­cated at the TAFE cam­pus off Dampier High­way and is proudly pre­sented by the City of Kar­ratha, Wood­side Pluto LNG and Rio Tinto.
