Nom­i­nate now for young achiever awards

Young peo­ple aged 29 and un­der mak­ing a pos­i­tive dif­fer­ence in their com­mu­ni­ties are be­ing en­cour­aged to nom­i­nate for a set of youth achieve­ment awards.

The West­ern Aus­tralian Young Achiever Awards be­gan early this year to recog­nise the con­tri­bu­tions of young peo­ple around the State, and of­fer $2000 prize money for the win­ners.

Its eight cat­e­gories span a va­ri­ety of ar­eas in­clud­ing small business achieve­ment, com­mu­nity ser­vice and vol­un­teer­ing work, the en­vi­ron­ment and sus­tain­abil­ity, agri­cul­ture, fit­ness, and health and well­be­ing.

Nom­i­na­tions are open un­til Jan­uary 13 next year, with win­ners to be an­nounced at an awards din­ner in May.

One of the cat­e­gory win­ners will also be cho­sen as over­all West­ern Aus­tralian Young Achiever of the Year.
