Pilbara News - - News - Louise Allingham

If you went down to Federation Park last Tuesday, you would have been sure of a big surprise as about 130 local kids and their favourite stuffed friends enjoyed a teddy bears’ picnic.

The October 25 picnic was organised by the Exmouth Early Years Network as part of Children’s Week.

Pre-primary and kindergarten students from Exmouth District High School and children from the Bernice McLeod Childcare centre, Exmouth Playgroup and regulars of Exmouth Shire’s story time program attended.

Parents, children and teddies sang songs, read stories and enjoyed a picnic of fruit and teddy bear biscuits.

Exmouth playgroup president Mandy Merlin said it was wonderful to see the children come together and enjoy a fun morning in the park.

The Exmouth Early Years Network was formed to support young children and their families to live good lives by building strong families and communities.
