The Yellow Pages and White Pages are looking for the the best baker in northern Western Australia to be the cover star of their 2016-17 Great Northern directory.

For the first time in its history, the Yellow Pages will be supporting the Country Women’s Association.

Along with the region’s best baker, the newest Yellow Pages and White Pages covers will celebrate the achievements of the CWA of WA.

The Undiscovered Baking Legend Competition is open to local residents living in northern WA, from Geraldton to Kununurra, whose homemade baked treats have everyone salivating.

Entrants will be judged by a panel from the CWA of Western Australia and the Yellow Pages and White Pages on creativity and authenticity of their recipe.

CWA Western Australia president Heather Allen said she was passionate about raising awareness of the CWA through the Yellow Pages and White Pages and was looking forward to finding the area’s best baker.

“As a self-funded volunteer philanthropic organisation, we are very reliant on our communities, our members and the fantastic support of organisations like the Yellow Pages to function at full strength,” she said.

“Baking is a very common hobby across our network, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the entries we receive.”
