Fireworks Light the Night for good cause
Families from all over Karratha headed to the Hampton Harbour boat and Sailing Club in Dampier last Saturday night for the annual Guy Fawkes Day celebrations. The crowd enjoyed a fireworks display over the ocean and joined in the Light the Night walk to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
The Dampier foreshore was lit up by a parade of blue, yellow and white lights as hundreds participated in the Leukaemia Foundation Light the Night Walk at the annual Guy Fawkes Day celebrations.
Hundreds of people gathered at the Hampton Harbour Boat and Sailing Club last Saturday evening for a night of fun, food, fireworks and fundraising.
There was face painting and a bouncy castle for the kids as well as market stalls and food vans.
The event was MC’d by Angie Ayers and band Chrislyn Trio provided the Twilight Tunes and had punters singing and dancing throughout the evening.
About 7pm, people of all ages took part in the Light the Night lantern walk along the beach as a tribute to those diagnosed with leukaemia.
Just before 8pm, all eyes turned to the sky as hundreds of fireworks lit up the harbour.
Chrislyn Trio provided live music entertainment that had the crowd singing and dancing.
The fireworks display was popular with the crowd.
