Char­ity din­ner a suc­cess

More than $4000 was raised for the Can­cer Coun­cil at the sell­out Parabur­doo Pink Rib­bon Din­ner on Oc­to­ber 29.

Ninety guests were treated to pink cham­pagne, de­li­cious food and live en­ter­tain­ment.

Nin­tirri women’s health nurse Stacey Robin­son and lo­cal can­cer sur­vivor Brooke Turner were guest speak­ers on the night.

There was also a dec­o­rate a bra com­pe­ti­tion which had al­most 40 en­tries.

Event or­gan­iser Anna Oak­ley said 32 vol­un­teers and spon­sors helped en­sure the din­ner was a suc­cess.

“A fan­tas­tic night was had by all of the ladies who at­tended,” she said. “We’ve had won­der­ful feed­back.”

A Pink Rib­bon cake stall the pre­vi­ous week­end raised more than $1000.
