Warriors’ win over Slaminars puts them on top

Pilbara News - - Sport - Rob Skinner

Warriors sit outright top of the ladder after another good win, this time against Slaminars 10–5.

Wreckers, who had the bye this week, are second and what a great start for new team Celts.

This week, Celts were far too good for Punishers and their 11-4 win now has them in third place on the ladder.

In the other upset of the round, Recaholics were too good for Mongrels 9–6.

Mongrels’ chances of doubling up on their 2016 winter competition premiership is now an unlikely scenario with two early losses.

The KDEBA also held its annual doubles competition this Sunday at Tambrey Tavern, and Mark Castano and Mandy Skinner were the eventual winners.

In the final, Castano and Skinner turned it on with a top quality 4–0 win. Skinner adds this title to her highest percentage female player and the KDEBA women’s singles champion this year.
