Warriors unbeaten

The Warriors are the only undefeated team in the KDEBA summer competition.

This week, they met the only other unbeaten team, Wreckers but, unfortunately for Wreckers, they couldn’t make a full team and played with four players, essentially giving up three games.

When they had won only one game in the first round, the writing was on the wall but to Wreckers’ credit they won the next round 3-2 from their four players, but it was not enough as Warriors closed it out 9-6 and deservedly sit on top of the ladder.

Wreckers’ loss has opened the door for Mongrels and Celts, the only other teams that could possibly make the top two. Celts 10-5 win over Slaminars gave them some of the percentage they would need to challenge for a top-two spot.

Mongrels had the bye but will meet Wreckers in two weeks, in the last round, and a win could see it come down to percentage.

Punishers notched up their first win of the summer season against Recaholics, 9-6.
