Round 7 of the Karratha Water Polo Association resulted in four fiery games played at high intensity.

In the first women’s game Burrup Barracudas just beat the improving Searipple Sharks 12-9.

Rebecca Jewkes, Jacynta Felix and Natalie Glover all played outstanding games.

Then in the second game Burrup Barracudas sank Pilbara Pirates 14-6 with Ashleen McGovern, Bonnie Kaestner and Julie-Ann Elkins all dominating the scoring.

Pirates 10 keelhauled a fired-up Barracudas 5 in the first men’s game, with many stoushes on and off the ball breaking out across the four quarters.

New players Stuart Bond and Tamlyn McKay performed exceptionally well as did Ben Biddiscombe.

In the final game Krakens recorded a 10-all draw with the Pirates in a high-scoring shootout.

Byron Newbold was influential in general play and was well-supported by Rich Gregory, with Bond backing up for the Pirates.
