A top-two men’s B-grade showdown in round 12 saw the Schoolers emerge with a narrow, hardfought 32-30 victory over Heat on Thursday..

In the first half, second-placed team Schoolers were the standouts and shot 19 points, while Heat struggled to make an impact on the scoreboard and had only recorded five points by half-time. But Heat turned the momentum around with an impressive scoring effort in the second half, racking up 25 points within 20 minutes.

Schoolers could not quite keep up with their pace, and before long, the Heat were hot on their heels, getting within two points of their score but Schoolers hung on, and in the end, their early set-up was enough to win them the game.

In the rest of the men’s B-grade fixtures, Cardinals beat Redbacks, 37-17, while Vipers bested the Flakers by seven points.

In women’s B-grade, the Roebourne Razorbacks beat Sinners in a close game.

Razorbacks were 21-12 up at halftime but in the second term, their scoring tapered off as Sinners dug deep to come back from behind, getting them within three points with a final score of 29-26.

Goat Trouts beat Lady Falcons, 29-17. Women’s A-side Pegy Flyers missed out on what could have been their second win of the season, losing by a mere point in a tight game against Mud Flaps.

Hello Trouts thrashed Falcons, 42-11.

Men’s A-grade side the Pistons streaked ahead in the second half against Mayuga Majik to win, 5035, while #Yogetit beat Pardoo Katz, 56-30, and Trout School got the better of Coral Trouts.
