Christmas cheer comes early to Exmouth

Pilbara News - - Lifestyle - Louise Allingham

Exmouth is gearing up for a fun and festive Christmas season, with events happening throughout the town.

This Saturday at Federation Park, the community is invited to join Exmouth Christian Fellowship’s Carols by Starlight.

There will be market stalls, which will open from 6pm, and the carols will start at 7pm.

People are encouraged to bring their singing voices as well as a picnic dinner.

There will also be a barbecue and drinks provided by local community groups.

Programs and candles will be available for a gold coin donation but note there will be no change available.

On Monday, December 12, Santa Claus will give the children of Exmouth an early visit.

The Exmouth Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service will be chauffeuring Santa through the streets of the town in its fire truck from 4pm, starting at the splash park.

Santa will also visit the Exmouth Playgroup’s Christmas party.

Exmouth VFRS captain Bruce Watts said the service was decorating the fire truck just for Santa’s visit and he would be giving out “hundreds” of lolly bags to local children.

“Only if you’ve been good, though,” he said.

“The parents can have a lolly bag if they’ve been good as well — no one misses out.”
