Family revved up over big raffle win
The daughter of a Karratha resident is set to receive an early Christmas present after her mother won the Dampier Primary School parents and citizens group’s car raffle.
Pam Condon won the main prize in the raffle, a Toyota hatchback, which she has decided to give to her daughter. Ms Condon said her daughter was “stoked” to hear of the news.
“I have never won anything before,” she said.
“My daughter has recently moved to Perth, has two little ones and doesn’t have a car.”
Ms Condon said her daughter was currently on her L-plates.
Pilbara Motor Group general manger Scott Lovett said it was nice to have a local winner.
“We got involved to help the community out; it’s good for the Dampier community and school,” he said. “It is a nice early Christmas present.”
Dampier Primary School P and C president Scott Gillis said the raffle had been a success for the school.
