Learn to program
A Scitech Edison Robotics course will be running at each of the City of Karratha libraries this week, giving children aged 8-15 a chance to learn about barcode and computer programming, robot art and robotic engineering.
As part of the course, students will explore the fascinating world of robotics and computer programming using Edison robots.
Students will learn to program a robot to follow a line, play music and detect obstacles. They will also use Lego Technic to build a digger to pick up Lego pieces.
On Thursday, January 12, the course will run in Roebourne from 10.30am to 11.30am and Wickham from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. One Friday, January 13, there will be sessions in Dampier from 10am to 11am and Karratha from 2pm to 3pm.
Each session costs $10 per child. For more information or to register, contact your local library.
