Free trial for wi-fi
Roebourne residents can connect to free wi-fi at their local Department of Human Services agent thanks to a new trial.
Roebourne and Bidyadanga are the only sites in WA currently offering free wi-fi access to connect to Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support services, and nearly 1000 government and community websites.
Member for Durack Melissa Price said Ngarliyarndu Bindirri Aboriginal Corporation staff could step people through how to use the digital services on offer.
Human Services Minister Alan Tudge said the trial made it easier for people living in regional and remote areas to access online support services.
The free wi-fi trial ends on January 31.
