New boat pens in jetty upgrade
Work is complete on the latest phase of jetty and pen improvements at Exmouth Boat Harbour.
Transport Minister Bill Marmion said the $1.4 million project had added 14 new boat pens to Jetty B, located on the northern side of the harbour.
“These works are phase two of the Exmouth jetty and pen improvement project, with the boat pens created along seven new ‘finger’ jetties,” he said.
“There a number of boat users who access the harbour on a casual basis as well as transient recreational boaters.
“Increasing the pen capacity will ensure those who want to use the facility can do so easily and safely.”
Mr Marmion said the project was undertaken in conjunction with the current $18.275 million Exmouth Boat Harbour upgrade.
