Peo­ple were gen­er­ally sup­port­ive of the idea of ar­ti­fi­cial reefs off Dampier and Ex­mouth af­ter the plan was re­vealed last week, but some were con­cerned Dampier could miss out if the City spent too long de­cid­ing whether to pro­ceed.

Typ­i­cal CoK, mulling it over, be­fore you know it, Hed­land will jump all over it and get it, be a ma­jor hit and Kar­ratha misses out again. Tourism in Kar­ratha is dead, peo­ple al­ready don't want to come the ex­tra 300km to visit. Give the town some­thing!

An Amer­i­can com­pany us­ing 457 work­ers off the Pil­bara coast, de­spite there be­ing no short­age of Aussie work­ers, needs to be in­ves­ti­gated, says WA La­bor.
