New wave of coastal funding available
Applications are open for the State Government’s 2017-18 coastal grants program to help plan for and manage WA’s coastline.
Planning Minister Donna Faragher said $600,000 was available to coastal managers and community groups through the Coastal Management Plan Assistance Program and Coastwest initiative.
Coastal land managers can apply for a share of $275,000 CMPAP funding — up to $75,000 per project — to implement coastal hazard risk management and adaptation plans, and coastal management plans.
A total of $325,000 is available in Coastwest grants — up to $50,000 per project — to enable coastal manager and community groups to improve the condition of WA’s coastline.
