City seeks ad­vi­sory group mem­bers

The City of Kar­ratha is call­ing for mem­bers for a new Small Busi­ness Ad­vi­sory Group that will pro­vide strate­gic ad­vice to the coun­cil on how the small busi­ness com­mu­nity can grow and pros­per.

The group’s work will in­clude in­volv­ing the lo­cal busi­ness com­mu­nity in work be­ing un­der­taken by the City to iden­tify op­por­tu­ni­ties for growth in the small busi­ness sec­tor.

The group will also help align the City’s ef­forts on small busi­ness de­vel­op­ment sup­port with the pri­or­i­ties of the sec­tor.

Those who wish to be in­volved should have a demon­strated com­mit­ment to the ad­vance­ment of the busi­ness en­vi­ron­ment in the City, an abil­ity to en­gage with the busi­ness com­mu­nity, and a com­mit­ment to par­tic­i­pate fully in group ac­tiv­i­ties.

In­ter­ested com­mu­nity mem­bers from across Kar­ratha, Dampier, Roe­bourne, Wick­ham and Point Sam­son are en­cour­aged to ap­ply at kar­ eco­nomic-de­vel­op­ment.

The group will meet on the sec­ond Mon­day of ev­ery month and each mem­ber’s term will be one year in length.
