Ap­pli­ca­tions for the 2017 WA Train­ing Awards have opened.

The an­nual State Gov­ern­ment awards recog­nise the best in WA’s vo­ca­tional ed­u­ca­tion and train­ing sec­tor across 12 cat­e­gories, in­clud­ing WA Ap­pren­tice of the Year, WA Trainer of the Year and WA In­dus­try Col­lab­o­ra­tion Award.

This year award win­ners will be an­nounced on Septem­ber 15 and re­ceive ei­ther $5000 cash or other prizes.

Train­ing and Work­force De­vel­op­ment Min­is­ter Liza Har­vey en­cour­aged peo­ple and or­gan­i­sa­tions work­ing in the sec­tor to nom­i­nate.

“Win­ners will be ac­knowl­edged for the dis­tinc­tion they bring to their field as one of the State's best in the sec­tor,” she said.

Ap­pli­ca­tions close on May 5 at 5pm.
