Tech help sessions on offer at City libraries
Throughout February, several technology help and training sessions will be taking place at City of Karratha libraries, to get you started online and with the Microsoft suite of software.
A free adult tech help session will run at Karratha Library on Wednesday, February 8 from 9am.
For this hour, adults are welcome to bring along their iPad or tablet and learn the basics of how to use it, load some useful apps and learn some cyber safety tips.
On Thursday, February 9, the library will hold an MS Excel basics training course from 5pm at a cost of $11 per person.
As part of this session, students will learn now to create a spreadsheet, work with cells and borders, insert or delete rows and columns, and learn basic formulae. At Dampier Library on Monday, February 20, an MS Word Basics session will be held at 9.30am for $11 per person.
The session will detail keyboard and mouse skills, how to open and format a new document, make and rename folders and files, save a file to the computer and a USB flash drive, insert and format pictures, text boxes and shapes, and how to create a basic table.
Bookings are essential for all of these sessions, and if required, payment must be made before the class.
